Myosin-V walks like “Mr. Natural” as it tilts and wobbles to complete its step. This cover was inspired by the cover for the record album, “Truckin’ My Blues Away”, drawn by the cartoonist Robert Crumb. Via.

Easily the best scientific journal cover I’ve seen this year. It’s like Dr. Seuss crossed with biology class.

Hey

So I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but

Steve like never changes out of his Captain America getup from the instant he puts it on in the movie to the very end when everyone is in plainclothes. Never. SHIELD sends him out for Loki, he suits up, comes back to the Helicarrier and then he never gets out of his outfit (he like takes the outer jacket off right after Coulson dies but that’s another can of feels to open up).

WHY DIDN’T HE TAKE IT OFF???

Like did he get assigned quarters or something and then forget where they were because the ship is so big and was too embarrassed to ask anyone for directions so he could go change? Did he notice Natasha never changed out of hers and thought “huh I better do what she does she seems like she knows what’s going on”?

I just

what

Theory: It helped him remember who he was.  He felt comfortable as Cap and that was the only thing that felt comfortable in this foreign place.  He didn’t want to lose that so he kept the spangly outfit.  A sexy security blanket, if you will.

Hey Romney, quick question:

So you’re all about 2 parents.  Each kid should have 2 and they should be married. Cause anything is else is just wrong, you say. Ok, so what about these guys?

Just a thought.

This is me and my best friend.  We actually have this conversation all the time:

Me: “I love you”

Her: *Vague hand gestures*

Me: “Yeah, I know.”

And then we hug.

They did such a great job writing this friendship.

Hey followers!  I still can’t believe you exist.  You lovely people you.  But I never post anything on this blog.  You should follow this one.  This one here.  It’s where all the fun stuff is.

THANKS!

That awkward moment when I try to Google-search something related to WWI, only to have Google suggest “Did you mean WWII?”

collective-history:

Sojourner Truth was the self-given name, from 1843 onward, of Isabella Baumfree, an African-American abolitionist and women’s rights activist. Truth was born into slavery in Swartekill, Ulster County, New York, but escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826. After going to court to recover her son, she became the first black woman to win such a case against a white man.
Her best-known extemporaneous speech on gender inequalities, Ain’t I a Woman?, was delivered in 1851 at the Ohio Women’s Rights Convention in Akron, Ohio. During the Civil War, Truth helped recruit black troops for the Union Army; after the war, Truth tried unsuccessfully to secure land grants from the federal government for former slaves.

All time BAMF.
